JVZMIN is a Latinx, multi-genre artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. She began producing music in high school and was constantly experimenting with mash-ups to create a whole different sound. After disagreements with her family about her sexuality, she moved out on her own and focused on supporting herself, which resulted in a hiatus from music. Following the birth of her daughter a decade later, JVZMIN suffered extreme post partum depression. Along the journey of her recovery, she is covered her love for creating music and starting using it as a form of therapy. JVZMIN blends her love of all genres, including midtempo, experimental, drum and bass, and trap. She wishes to be an inspiration to those struggling with mental illness by spreading the values of self-love and advocating for the use of positive emotional outlets.
JVZMIN’s number one goal is to continue to show her daughter that if you dream it, believe in it, and
work hard, you can achieve it.
